The holidays are a time to relax and spend time with family. We reflect on the year just ended and look forward with eager anticipation to the blank canvas that is the year ahead.

- The Basic Human Needs That Drive Us. It was fun coming up with the alliteration: Survival, Safety, Society, Swagger, and Sharpen the Saw. And if you neglect one of them, you may need a spare.
- A Year Without Credit Cards. We accept them as a necessary part of life. Even if you pay the balance off in full each month, zeroing out the credit card balance is still one more thing you have to do—every month. Ditch the credit cards and save money, time, and stress.
